This summer, we will offering a two-week summer faith formation program as an alternative to the Wednesday night sessions for 1-8th grade.  (9th and 10th grade will continue to meet on Wednesday nights in Dyersville or Earlville-- see below). Families that participate in this program, will also be invited to attend our 6 monthly sessions throughout the year.  These intergenerational sessions will be offered on the first Sunday after the 8:30AM Mass and the following Wednesday from 6:30PM-8:00PM of each of the 6 months (need only attend one of the two days each month).  Both children and their parents will attend these sessions in order to continue their faith development throughout the year. All sessions will take place in the Xavier Auditorium.

9th and 10th grade students will meet on Wednesday nights from 6:45PM-8:00PM throughout the year. If 9th and 10th grade students have siblings attending Faith Formation at Earlville on Wednesday nights, they can attend their session there as well (see times above).

The 9th and 10th grade curriculum is called "YDisciple." This program is based on small group facilitation and relationship development.  The program we use challenges students to grow in their faith by setting goals for themselves on a weekly basis.

Curriculum for grades 1-7   "We Believe"

We Believe with Project Disciple is a catechetical program for schools and parishes that focuses on students, catechists, families, and the Church community. This program is highly engaging providing your child with exciting and integral features in every chapter. We Believe, published by Sadlier, is rooted in Scripture and Traditions of the Catholic Church and is spirited by the General and National Directories for Catechesis. It is Christocentric, centering on the Person of Jesus Christ, Trinitarian, inviting relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and finally, Ecclesial, supporting faith that is lived in the domestic church and the universal Church. This program covers every area of your child’s faith and how teaches them how to live it out in their daily lives.
Use the We Believe website for interactive games, quizzes, stories of Saints and more! (link:

Curriculum for grade 8 “Faith Fusion"

The catechetical series, Faith Fusion, published by Our Sunday Visitor presents a dynamic way to engage 8th grade students. Here you will find Scripture, Tradition, liturgy, prayer, Church history, saint’s lives, Catholic customs, and ethnic sensitivity presented in an integrated manner. Woven into these elements are recurrent forms of life applications: What does it mean to you? How does this make you a better Catholic? How does this help you to want the best for yourselves and others? Students will have little chance to idly wonder over this or that aspect of a teaching! This step will truly prepare your child for their High School Discipleship program, YDisciple.

Curriculum for High School Faith Formation "YDisciple"

Ydisciple is a web-based presentation of the faith through a dynamic video curriculum, delivered in the context of small group faith sharing, facilitated by well-trained faithful adults and providing support to parents in their role as primary educators in the faith. Ydisciple is the new way to evangelize and teach the next generation! Providing them with a small group atmosphere, high school students are able to engage in conversations about their faith, grow in their relationship with Christ through Christ centered friendships, and learn so much about the Catholic Church through well delivered, engaging, doctrinal content. Parent Handouts will be emailed each week providing parents with the content their high school student reviewed that week. These will also include conversation starters in order to help parents share in their son or daughter’s faith journey.

Join in on the fun by registering here as a Parent and/or Parishioner. You will have access to the Ydisciple website featuring amazing resources to grow in faith along with your teens.

The Totus Tuus parish summer catechetical program, a week-long “parish mission” for Catholic youth in the 1st through 12th grades, is dedicated to proclamation of the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, apologetics, Christian witness, the sacraments, Marian devotion, and Eucharistic worship.

Totus Tuus seeks to inspire in young people a true longing for holiness, a deep desire for daily conversion, and an openness to their vocation by challenging them to give themselves entirely to Jesus Christ through Mary and by continually strengthening their prayer lives in imitation of Her.

The Totus Tuus program has divided the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church into a six year cycle. Additionally, each summer is dedicated to the mysteries of the Rosary. In 2017, Totus Tuus will cover the Mystery of Salvation and the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary.
