FAITH FORMATION CLASSES

The Spires of Faith works hard to provide a Faith Formation program that is dynamic and engaging to the culture of today's youth. The Faith Formation program will be in a new format where parents work with child/children at home once a week online and attend in person with child/children at a once a month meeting at St. Francis Xavier Basilica.

This program for 1st through 8th grade students, strives to deepen students' understanding and practice of the Catholic faith. Religious Education classes are meant to be an extension of the catechesis done in the home and assist parents in raising their children in the faith. These classes also prepare our students in 2nd grade to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

There will be a parent information and registration meeting on Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30pm in the St. Francis Xavier Church Basement. Children do not need to attend this meeting.

CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-style method of faith formation offered for children age three (by September 1, 2026) to Kindergarten. Gatherings begin September 17th and are offered Thursdays at 9:30-11:00AM at the previous rectory in New Vienna.  The catechists who work with the children participate in 100 hours of formation and have prepared a special environment for the children, which is called The Atrium. Cost for parishioners is $100 per child and $150 per child for non-parishioners.

Space for each session is limited to 10 children.
