Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament- Opportunities are available for parishioners to sign up for a weekly hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the Basilcia of St. Francis Xavier. Individuals, married couples and families are involved in this tradition at the Spires of Faith Cluster. We invite you to participate.

The Spires offers parishioners a structured opportunity to pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament exposed on the altar. Contact us to sign up for a hour or just stop in to Basilica during hours of Adoration for a visit!

Pope Benedict XVI spoke on the greatness of adoring the Eucharist both in and outside of the Mass when he wrote, “Receiving the Eucharist means adoring him who we receive, only in this way do we become one with him, and are given, as it were, a foretaste of the beauty of the heavenly liturgy. Indeed, ‘only in adoration can a profound and genuine reception mature. And it is precisely this personal encounter with the Lord that then strengthens the social mission contained in the Eucharist, which seeks to breakdown not only the walls that separate the Lord and ourselves, but also and especially the walls that separate us from one another” (Sacramentum Caritatis).

The Rosary is a beautiful Catholic devotion given to us by Our Lady of the Rosary. The Rosary is a way in which we take time out of our day to mediate upon the life of Jesus and all He has done for us. She asks us to pray the Rosary daily for peace. The rosary is prayed at:

  • St. Francis Xavier - After morning Mass every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and before Mass on Wednesday.
  • St. Joseph - 8:00am Monday - Friday and before 8:00 Mass on Sunday.
  • St. Paul - Before Mass on Wednesday and Friday.
  • SS. Peter & Paul - Before Mass on Thursday.

The Spires of Faith knows how important it is to pray for those in need. If you have any prayer requests or would like to join our prayer chain to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ please contact Joan Recker.

The Seven Sisters Apostolate consists of groups of women committed to prayerful support of a parish priest through the assurance of the offering of at least one Holy Hour every day of every week for that priest.  Each group has seven women who pray individually once a week on their designated day for the intention of the priest for whom their group prays.  Groups support one another by sharing resources and devotions through which to pray.
