Welcome — we are grateful for your prayerful presence.

As our pastorate moves through this interim Mass schedule and a time of transition, we want to accompany one another with patience, generosity, and prayer. To ensure that all families have the opportunity to schedule intentions for their loved ones, we are currently able to receive up to two Mass intention requests per parishioner through this online form.

If you have additional intentions that we are unable to place within our pastorate at this time, please call the parish office. We will assist you with care, and any remaining intentions will be forwarded to the Archdiocese to be offered by another institution, ensuring that every intention is prayerfully honored.

Practice Thanksgiving:  Take time to thank God for all the big and little things happening in your life.

Adore Him:  Sit in the presence of God and be in awe of who He is, your Creator, Redeemer, Savior, Father, Friend.

Other Ideas:  Pray the Rosary. Read scripture or a spiritual book, journal.

An Invitation from the Catholic Daughters of the Americas

I write to ask every Catholic woman in the Archdiocese of Dubuque to consider joining the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) as a member.  For some of you that means right at your local parish, and for others that may mean at a neighboring parish.  Visit www.iowacatholicdaughters.org for more information and to find a local chapter.

The Catholic Daughters is one of the oldest and largest organizations for Catholic women having been founded in 1903, and is dedicated to the principles of “unity and charity”.  Today the CDA focuses on the concerns of a contemporary church and society as well as issues that affect the well-being of women and children.  CDA offers the opportunity for women to come together to share their faith as well as in service to their church and civic communities.

Thank you for your continued support of the Catholic Daughters.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Rev. Richard E. Pates

Apostolic Administrator of Dubuque

SCRIP is in stock at MidWestOne (Hwy 136 location), and at Fidelity.

How does Scrip work?
Our school purchases the scrip cards at a discount from each business and then sells them to you at full value. The amount of the discount is on the order form. The school keeps 50% of the profit and passes the rest on to you as tuition credit at Xavier, Beckman or the Religious Education Program. Or you may designate it to the Xavier School or Parish Operating Budget. For example, Ace Hardware Scrip offers a 4% rebate, so the rebate amount on a $100 Ace Scrip card is $4.00. You are able to designate $2.00 as tuition credit, the other $2.00 will be used for Xavier general operating expenses. ANYONE can purchase scrip, so encourage relatives and friends to use scrip. You may designate ANY student at Xavier, Beckman or the Religious Education program to receive your tuition credits. It's a great way to earn money for everyday items you would buy anyway.

You can click here to go to the Xavier website to learn more, or to place an order.

WANT TO JOIN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH?  Those who are interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the Catholic faith are invited to join us three nights a month from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm at our Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) meetings.  Sessions will begin in September.  Please extend the invitation to people in our community that may benefit from this program!  Contact Director of Faith Formation, Casey McCarraher, with questions or interest, 563-875-7325.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE ~ If you or someone you know has lost a child and would benefit from talking with someone, contact Kim Wills 563-608-5760 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

For one reason or another, at times couples choose to be married on a beach, at a park, or in the courthouse.  Catholics are bound to be married in a church, before a priest, with 2 witnesses.  If they do otherwise, without consultation and permission, their marriages are invalid sacraments and these individuals have absented themselves from the communion of the church, no longer able to receive the sacraments.  We can help!  Contact one of the priests or deacons today to begin the process of healing and work toward having your marriage blessed.
